Day 1: 30 day Green Smoothie Challenge
We all lead busy lives, and sometimes our health can take a back seat to other things.
After an accidental intake of gluten on the weekend and my body going through the aftermath of that, I decided to do a 30 day green smoothie challenge to go along with my gut healing. My body goes into meltdown when I eat gluten – as I have severe coeliac. While I asked repeatedly that it was gluten free and that all components were gluten free, obviously they weren’t aware of something minor – but my body was! So after looking 8 months pregnant, excessive joint pain, dry skin and breakouts, plus a whole host of other issues, my body needs some extra TLC. Green smoothies to the rescue.
While I generally have a smoothie a day, sometimes I miss my green smoothies, in place of a protein, chocolate, pumpkin pie, or whatever else. So for the next 30 days I will post a green smoothie recipe for anyone who wants to follow along 😊🍏🍍🍌
Lean Green Fighting Machine
1/2 cup frozen mango
2 large handfuls spinach
300ml coconut water
Small handful mint
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 Tbsp hemp seeds
1 celery stalk
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy
