Chocolate Tahini Mousse

Oh chocolaty goodness, how I adore thee. It’s interesting to hear from people about their experience with cacao.

Most people find it gives them clarity, energy, can reduce depression and anxiety. But I was recently speaking to someone who said it always sent her ‘batty’. Instead of helping her anxiety it made it worse. It increased her heart rate, increased her nervous energy. We had a chat about how she had taken it and what I found was a common missing link…FAT. There was little fat in her diet, and she rarely had fat when she had cacao.

Due to it’s amazing neurotransmitter stimulation from all the amino acids, cacao can be very stimulating for some people. Fat helps to ground people. Eating fat with cacao should ground people if they are prone to over stimulation. Fat is also crucial as it allows us to utilise all of the vitamins and minerals that are fat soluble in the cacao.

This mousse is LOADED with FAT. And packed full of goodies that can help fuel the brain. It really is BRAIN FOOD at it’s finest.
