Turmeric Bliss Balls

Golden sunshine in the mix, yes please! I love adding turmeric to some of my recipes, to get my dose of anti-inflammatory goodness. But personally, I don’t want it at every meal! So having it jam packed into these little balls means I get a big hit of turmeric with every bite.

They are packed full of so many goodies. The list is pretty much endless- all of your vitamins and minerals, fats, proteins. Plus these puppies will keep you full for ages.

Start off with a smaller amount of turmeric if you aren’t used to it and gradually build up to 5 tsp or more if you are game.

Turmeric Bliss Balls
Servings: 20 balls, approx
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups Mixed Seeds such as chia, hemp, sunflower, sesame
  • ½ cup Almonds or Almond Meal
  • 8 Medjool Dates soaked in warm water for 30mins
  • 2 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
  • ½ cup Shredded Coconut plus extra for rolling
  • 1 Tbsp. Nut Butter whatever you like
  • 3-5 tsp Ground Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Black Pepper
Instructions
  1. Place seeds and almonds in a food processor and pulse a few times to start breaking them down. Add the turmeric, cinnamon and black pepper and blitz again for about 10-20 seconds. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the extra coconut to roll, and process until it starts to form a ball and the mixture holds when you pinch it between your fingers.
  2. Take a walnut size amount and roll between your palms, then roll in coconut and place on baking tray lined with baking paper. Repeat with remaining mixture, then place in fridge to chill for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
  3. They will last in the fridge for about a week, or you can store them in the freezer.
  4. Makes around 20 balls.
